For the Love of Painting

I am the Owner of the company Painting by Marguerite and I love to paint !

My Love of painting started when I was 7 years old when my Grandmother put a paint brush in my hand and asked me to paint a picnic table red at her Lake House upstate NY, It was most certainly a messy beginning for me but I was determined to get the job done for my Grandma! That messy job didnt stop me. In fact the next project that was assigned to me was my first Mural that my Mother asked me to paint which she will not let me paint over in her Office wall. Always sketching and drawing anything & everything especially flowers and nature.


Having grown up in the construction industry under the tutelage of my father Nick DiChiaro and my mother Louise DiChiaro starting with the Fire & Water Damage Restoration business & General Contracting is how I attained my experience and on the job learning experience in all trades. Having a broad spectrum of renovation projects has enabled me to handle any job size.


I have always tried to make a difference in my painting business, not by just doing the work but really getting to understand my clients needs, dreams and vision, it is through this process that allows my company to create the change in the surrounding environment. Colors and energy flow are important elements in that change.


My son Nicholas and daughter Nicole assist me with many projects in the business. We have had three generations of painters: myself, daughter and granddaughter work together on a Habitat for Humanity Project which was very rewarding or working with younger children getting them involved with painting and artwork. We love to share our Love of painting with all that are interested.


Although my father Nick DiChiaro is no longer with us, he was an integral part of my journey in my painting business & decorative wall finishes. His Artisan techniques were passed down to myself, son and daughter. We carry his knowledge and experience with us in carrying out the family traditions of the trades. We provide his teachings by example work ethics and relentless pursuit of perfection in our daily work.


Now serving the Hudson Valley for over 30 years in the Restoration Fire & Water Damage Industry has allowed me the knowledge and experience over the years in a wide range of services to set my company Painting by Marguerite apart from all the others. Recent recognition by the State of New York & Certification as a Woman Owned Business Enterprise Painting by Marguerite is proud to uphold and exceed the standards set by New York State when providing services to our clients.
